In order to ensure successful payment in Indian Rupees, there are some requirements that must be included in the payment details.
If you do not have any of these details, please contact your beneficiary.
a) What information do I need about my recipient?
Depending on the type of payments, you should include the following information when creating the payee.
1.- Payments for goods or services:
Tick the option "Goods or services" as the reason for payment.
Add the beneficiary's name.

Press Continue
Fill in the account number, bank SWIFT code and IFCS code.
IFCS code: 11 characters, both letters and numbers. It usually starts with 4 letters and identifies the beneficiary's bank within India.
IFCS and SWIFT are very similar, be sure to enter the correct code in each field.
If EBO generates a different SWIFT or ISFC number than the one provided to you, please check with your payee.
The permanent reference is optional, it is a description that will appear on the receipt of all payments sent to this payee.
When you have all the data filled in, press continue.
Fill in the details of the beneficiary. The telephone number and address are mandatory.
When you have all the data filled in, press continue.
Read the security confirmation. If you agree, mark the box and save the beneficiary.
2.- Payments for charitable aid
Tick the option "Charitable aid" as the reason for payment.
Add the beneficiary's name.
Press Continue
Fill in the account number, bank SWIFT code and IFCS code.
Add the FCRA Code (Licence code for Indian charitable organisations)
The address of the beneficiary is optional but recommended.
When you have all the data filled in, press continue.
Read the security confirmation. If you agree, mark the box and save beneficiary.
3.- Payments for Salary/Payroll:
Tick the option "Salary" as the reason for payment.
Add the beneficiary's name (the employee).
Press Continue
Fill in the account number, bank SWIFT code and IFCS code.
The address of the beneficiary is optional but recommended.
When you have all the data filled in, press continue.
Read the security confirmation. If you agree, mark the box and save beneficiary
b) What information do I need to include in the payments?
When setting up the payment, and depending on the type of payment, you will need to add the following information in the “Reference field” (if applicable):
Payment for goods and services:
Invoice number
Date of invoice
Brief description of the goods / services provided: i.e payment for purchase of cotton garments, payment for law consultancy services.
Payment for Salary/Payroll:
Salary for month XXX
Please note that, due to the currency’s requirements, we suggest that you carefully review the details added before saving the beneficiary or creating payment as failure to fulfil this information may result in delays or cancellation of the payment.
