Two-factor authentication can be done either via an SMS message sent straight to your phone, via authentication apps such as Google Authenticator or using the Ebury App. This guide will help you change between them.
1. In order to self serve for 2FA resets, first you will need to log in to your account. Once you’re in, go to your profile and settings page, by clicking on your name on the drop down menu under your company’s name:
2. Within your profile, go to ‘Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)’. Once there, click the ‘Modify’ button, and you’ll be able to change Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) method.
3. Once you click on Modify, the system will ask you to confirm your identity by typing your account password.
For Ebury App based two-factor authentication
1. If you click on our recommended 2FA method, Ebury’s app, you will see a QR code that will send you to your device’s app store.
2. Once you download the app, you will have to log in using your previous method of 2FA (SMS or authentication app).
3. After successfully logging into the app, you will be asked if you want to use the Ebury app for 2FA.
4. Back on the platform, exit the prompt window - you should be set!
5. Next time you log in, you will need to enter the code received on your device (if you accepted notifications) or log into the Ebury App and retrieve it.
For Authenticator App based two-factor authentication
1. You’ll need to have an Authenticator App installed on your phone such as Microsoft Authenticator or Google Authenticator.
2. You will be shown a QR code, which you must scan with the app on your device.
3. You will then be prompted to enter a code from the Authenticator App. Enter the code, and click verify and save.
4. Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) method has been now modified to mobile App.
5. Next time you log in, you will need to enter a code from the Authenticator App to gain access to your account.
For SMS based authentication
1. Click on the ‘Text message’ button.
2. Please enter your phone number that you want to use for 2FA and click on ‘Send the code’.
3. Once done, you’ll receive a text message to the number you provided with a code. Please enter the code you received and click on ‘Verify and save’.
4. Two-factor authentication has now been activated via SMS.
5. Next time you log in, you’ll be asked to enter a new code. This will be sent to your mobile device every time you log in in the future.
