Understanding 'Pending' Status on Ebury Online (EBO)

Everything seems to be alright, so why has my payment not been processed?

Although your payment seems to be ready to go, EBO shows that it's "pending". The most common reasons are:

  • There are insufficient funds in the currency of the payment.

  • The value date has not been reached.

    • The status will remain "waiting for funds" until the value date is reached, even if there are funds available. The funds will remain available for other transactions, subject to be used at an earlier date. That way, you have more control on what happens with your balance!

  • N-eyes authorisation flow is enabled on your account. The payment may need an authorisation to be released.

  • Due to the nature of the regulations that Ebury must adhere to, we review payments in order to comply with various regulations. We might be processing that payment, but rest assured that, if additional information is required, we will contact you by email.

See here our article on how to see at what stage your payment is at
