When creating a beneficiary, make sure that the information you have is correct, complete and has been verified with your beneficiary. All the information must be provided by your beneficiary, so if you are missing something, please reach out to your beneficiary directly.

General considerations

  1. Special Characters are not allowed in any field. You can use points and commas. However, any other symbol won’t allow you to add the beneficiary.

    • Special characters: ç, ñ, &, @, #, ~, [, ]. The most common case scenarios are:

      • “&” - in this case, the word “and” should be used.

      • "Ç" should be replaced by "C".

    • Sometimes, when copying information from digital documents, hidden characters or special formats are copied. This causes an error even if at first glance there is a blank space or an apparently common character.

  2. Please enter the name of the bank account holder in full.

  3. Mandatory requirements for each country/currency combination will become visible after you have indicated the country of the beneficiary's bank and the currency you want to send.

  4. Beneficiaries' addresses are recommended. In some cases, it may be needed (as per the previous point).

  5. If you get a message that the information you are adding is incorrect or incomplete, please check with your beneficiary before contacting operations.

About bank details

  1. IBAN

  2. SWIFT

    • The BIC (Bank Identifier Code) or SWIFT code is used to identify the beneficiary bank of a transfer (or destination bank). It is an international alphanumeric code that can consist of 8 or 11 characters. It includes information on the institution, country, locality and branch.

    • Make sure that the SWIFT code belongs to the country indicated as country of the bank. The letters in the fifth and sixth position must match the alpha-2 code of the relevant country https://www.iban.com/country-codes

    • To fill in beneficiaries with comprehensive bank details (account number, country specific bank identifier, SWIFT code) start by filling in the account number, then the specific bank identifier and finally the SWIFT code if it is not filled in by the platform. If the information automatically filled in does not match the information you have for your beneficiary, please confirm with them before saving.

The SWIFT code is mandatory for all currencies with the exception for:

  • USD beneficiaries located in the USA can register with both combinations: account number + SWIFT, or account number + routing number.

    • Routing number stands for ABA, routing number, FedWire number, ACH number.

  • Beneficiaries located in Canada must be registered with: account number + Transit number + SWIFT. Beneficiary address is mandatory.

    • Transit number: It's a 9 digit number which starts with 0 used for electronic fund transactions. If paper routing is XXXXX-YYY, then EFT routing number will be 0YYYXXXXX.

  • Beneficiaries in AUD located in Australia can register with both combinations: account number + SWIFT, or account number + BSB. Beneficiary address is mandatory.
