What happens with the money I have collected using CITINL2X IBANs?

Your funds remain completely secure in your balance. At Ebury, balances are unified by currency across all accounts, meaning there is no need to manually transfer money between them. Your funds are already exactly where they need to be.

What happens if a payment is sent to my account during transition?

During the 8-week transition period, funds sent to CITINL2X IBANs will still be credited to your balance. However, we highly recommend that you start using your EBPBNL22 account details at your earliest convenience to avoid future business interruption.

What happens if a payment is sent to my CITINL2X IBAN after closure?

After the decommission date, any payments sent to the CITINL2X IBAN will be automatically rejected and returned to the sender. If this happens, please provide the sender with your EBPBNL22 account details immediately for redelivery.

I haven’t updated my payment instructions yet and the decommission date has passed. Is it too late?

While the transition period has officially ended and your CITINL2X account is now closed, you can still ensure your business operations continue smoothly. Your matching EBPBNL22 account is already active and waiting for you on the Ebury platform.

I have been allocated a new EBPBNL22 account for transition. Is there a fee for the new account?

No, there are no additional costs associated with the allocation of your new Ebury EBPBNL22 IBAN.
