Your CITIIE2X bank accounts will be decommissioned on 18 December. After this date, the accounts will no longer support transactions or incoming funds. Please ensure all future operations are moved to your matching EPBIE22 bank accounts to avoid any business interruption.

Frequently asked questions

Are my other accounts affected?

No. This account update exclusively affects your CITIIE2X account details. Any other bank account and their respective details remain active and unaffected unless we have notified you otherwise.

Where do I find my EPBIE22 account details?

To access your EPBIE22 account details on the Ebury platform, follow these steps:

  1. Log in.

  2. Navigate to the Accounts section.

  3. Select your currency balance.

  4. View details for account (BIC - EPBIE22).

I already have an EPBIE22 IBAN, so I wasn't automatically assigned a new one. How can I get a dedicated IBAN for this transition?

You can easily generate a new EPBIE22 IBAN yourself directly through the Ebury platform. Just follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your Ebury account.

  2. Go to the Accounts section.

  3. Click on Receive Money, then select Request New Account.

  4. Choose your preferred currency, select Ireland as the account location and click Send Request.

Once the form is submitted, a new EPBIE22 account will be soon allocated to you in your preferred currency.

If you cannot find the specific account option you need, please contact your Client Portfolio Manager for assistance.

What happens with the money I have collected using CITIIE2X IBANs?

Your funds remain completely secure in your balance. At Ebury, balances are unified by currency across all accounts, meaning there is no need to manually transfer money between them. Your funds are already exactly where they need to be.

What happens if a payment is sent to my account during transition?

During the 8-week transition period, funds sent to CITIIE2X IBANs will still be credited to your balance. However, we highly recommend that you start using your EPBIE22 account details at your earliest convenience to avoid future business interruption.

What happens if a payment is sent to my CITIIE2X IBAN after closure?

After the decommission date, any payments sent to the CITIIE2X IBAN will be automatically rejected and returned to the sender. If this happens, please provide the sender with your EPBIE22 account details immediately for redelivery.

I haven’t updated my payment instructions yet and the decommission date has passed. Is it too late?

While the transition period has officially ended and your CITIIE2X account is now closed, you can still ensure your business operations continue smoothly. Your matching EPBIE22 account is already active and waiting for you on the Ebury platform.

I have been allocated a new EPBIE22 account for transition. Is there a fee for the new account?

No, there are no additional costs associated with the allocation of your new Ebury EPBIE22 IBAN.
