By creating a secure, real-time sync between Ebury multi-currency accounts and Sage, we have eliminated the need to download and manually import CSV or MT940 statement files. Transactions and balances can now flow automatically, enabling seamless, automated reconciliation, drastically reducing human entry mistakes, and freeing up your finance teams.

How to set up this integration

The integration is initiated across both Ebury Web and the Sage platform. Please follow this step-by-step flow.

Important Note: During setup, you may notice a "Beta" tag and be required to enter an Invite Code. Sage keeps new integrations in a controlled beta stage until a solid volume of active clients are using the feed. As soon as we cross Sage's client threshold, Sage will graduate us out of beta and the extra invite code step will be permanently removed.

  1. Generate your codes: On Ebury Web, navigate to the Connectivity tab , select Sage from the drop-down menu , and copy your unique Connection ID and Invite Code.

  2. Select Sage & Keep Popup Open: Select Sage from the platform drop-down menu. A setup modal will appear displaying your unique Connection ID, Invite Code, and a One-Time Password (OTP).

Important note: Do not close this popup! Leave it open in your browser, as you will need to copy these credentials over to Sage in the next steps.

  3. Select Account in Sage: Open Sage, navigate to your checking account information, and click Connect on the specific account you want to link.

  4. Find Ebury in Sage: Search for and select Ebury (powered by Codat) from the bank selection list.

  5. Enter Invite Code: Enter or paste your 6-digit Invite Code copied from Ebury Web.

  6. Connection ID & OTP Verification: Paste your unique Connection ID from Ebury. At this stage, you will also enter the One-Time Password (OTP) security code shown on the Ebury popup to securely authenticate the flow.

  7. Link and Sync: Select the specific Ebury account you want to connect and click Confirm. Data will now automatically flow several times a day.
