Which Ebury customers does the Consumer Duty apply to?

The Consumer Duty applies to all retail customers that are serviced by Ebury Partners UK Limited and Ebury Partners Market. Retail customers as defined by the FCA are:

  • Consumers - Any natural person acting for purposes outside his trade, business or profession.

  • Microenterprises - An enterprise which:

(a) employs fewer than 10 persons; and

(b) has a turnover or annual balance sheet that does not exceed £1 million,

  • Charities with a turnover of less than £1 million, and

A natural person acting in a capacity as a trustee if acting for purposes outside their trade, business or profession
