The Consumer Duty is the new Financial Conduct Authority (“FCA”) Principle recently introduced which sets the standard of care that firms must give to retail customers, ensuring that consumers receive a ‘good-outcome’. The principle came into force on 31 July 2023 and applies to all new and existing products and services.
