1. Using the "Pay" Function
This method is ideal for transferring funds directly from your existing balance.
Navigate to Pay: Start by selecting the Pay section in your dashboard.
Select a Payee: You can choose an existing beneficiary from your list or select Add new beneficiary to create a new one.
Enter Payment Details: Input the amount, date, and reason for the payment.
Add a Reference: You may include an optional reference, unique to the payment. To ensure smooth processing, please follow these guidelines:
References must be between 3 and 140 characters.
Use alphanumeric codes only and avoid special characters.
Avoid blank spaces at the very beginning or end of the reference.
Confirm and Create: Review your details and click Send to finalise the payment.
Pro Tip: After creating a payment, you can scroll down the page to visualise the necessary account details to which you'll need to send funds in case you don't have any in balance. Additionally, by searching for your payment on the Payments page, you'll be able to Cancel it or Download the Payment Receipt/Payment Instructions document.
2. Adding a Payment to an Existing Trade
If you need to allocate a payment specifically to a trade you have already executed, follow these steps:
Access Trades: Go to the Trade section of Ebury Online.
Select and Associate: Find the specific trade you wish to use and click Add Payment.
Beneficiary Note: When paying through a trade, you can only select from your existing beneficiaries. If you need to pay a new beneficiary, please use the "Pay" method described above.
Important Considerations
Cancellations: Please be aware that while you can cancel a payment, doing so does not cancel the underlying exchange rate operation if it is associated with a trade.
